Feng Shui Part III - Education
Feng Shui Part 3 - Education.
Check out your training venue ahead of your scheduled class and firm up the room arrangements to ensure that you face one of your good directions when teaching class. Don't forget that in the year 2001, avoid facing West or SW or S/SE. Draw out your revised room arrangement and ensure that the hotel or administrative support from your clients company makes the necessary arrangements. Ensure that chi is allowed to permeate the room and that there are no obstacles (e.g., if your client allocates a room that is also partially a storage area, request that all the clutter be removed from the room prior to the workshop).
Ensure that the room lights are switched on at least 3 hours before your workshop.
A day before the class or 1.5 hours before the class, do a space clearing of the room by using a Tibetan singing bowl or bell and walk around the room 3 times in a clockwise direction. Make sure that you visualize a positive outcome for your training session. You could also use sandalwood incense but just make sure it does not trigger off any sprinkler system!
Place a small tortoise symbol behind you for support.
Place a small rooster in the SE to peck away at any potential trouble makers!
Place a jade cicada (or simulated jade) on the instructor table if you anticipate any trouble makers.
Create harmony in the workshop by placing a rose quartz stones in a glass discreetly in the SW corner of the room.
If there have been some amount of difficult participants during the workshop , during break time , use a Feng Shui mirror and reflect the room in a circular motion to absorb the negative energy and keep the mirror away immediately ( don't forget to cleanse it later by reflecting the sun for a few seconds and immediately store it away in its pouch ).
If you want recognition for your training abilities, stick a sticker of a phoenix on a red cover book and discreetly place it in the South.
Place posters with positive images ( e.g. images of Calligraphy Brushes or Dragon Carp in the NE will enhance participant development ) and statements to capture the key learnings of the workshop.
If you are using transparencies or the LCD panel , ensure your presentation materials have harmonious symbols and colours ( e.g. avoid using arrows for bullets or sharp objects as this sends killing chi to the participants ).
Use relaxing, classical music during breaks and whenever participants are working on exercises or games to create a conducive learning environment and create wonderful chi vibrations.
At the end of the workshop, get people to draft their action plans on what they would like to improve. Get them to translate this into positive phrased goals and request that they review this frequently.
Don't forget to use symbolic jewellery (such as dragon or phoenix ) or power stones to suit your needs . Check out Lillian's Feng Shui Jewellery collection.
If you anticipate a tough audience or rivalry , wear a jade cicada or a shawl with auspicious symbols (for women ) which you can pick up at Indian stores. A sandalwood fan is also very good in deflecting bad thoughts and intentions.
Stick good luck symbols on your instructor folders.
